2 Lagoon Charters – Mosquito Lagoon/Indian River

2 Lagoon Charters and Captain Fred Pharis has 20+ years of experience fishing the Indian River and Mosquito Lagoons within the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge on Florida’s Space Coast.

An 18’ Man-O-War skiff with a 2017 90hp Suzuki where up to 3 anglers can fish comfortably. Fishing and catching is good year round! Our primary targeted year round fish is Redfish where often we find schools of tailing fish and there is always an opportunity to catch’em in the 20 to 30+lbs range, Speckled Trout, Black Drum and Snook are in the mix as well!

Winter into Summer offers the opportunity to catch “Gator” Speckled Trout up to 10lbs and find large schools of Black Drum. Summer adds an occasional Snook and Taron! All these fish are caught in 1’ to 6’ of water and sight fishing on the right days is awesome! All fishing gear and licenses are included on the trip.

Tackle used are Penn rods,/reels, Alvey Reels loaded with Spiderwire invisi-braid line. We’ll fish using a variety of methods; live or cut bait and artificial. The bite will dictate what methods are used! Everyone is welcome, especially kids! Whatever your age and experience level, you are sure to have a fantastic time in this awesome estuary! There are a variety of trips available to include Space Coast rocket launch viewing just a few miles away from the Cape Kennedy launch pads.
